JOB TITLE: Electronics Assembler
DEPARTMENT: Through-Hole Assembly
PRIMARY FUNCTION OF POSITION: As Electronic Assembler you would be responsible for assembling PCBA’s (Printed Circuit Board Assemblies) that contain electrical circuitry made up of embedded metal surfaces to IPC standards. Components are soldered to the board which are connected to the board circuitry. Your primary duties are to assemble electronic parts, such as circuit boards, and mount them into larger assemblies ensuring the proper soldering and installation of electrics within. This requires the utilization of various hand tools and equipment to perform duties. An Electronic Assembler must adhere to safety precautions during operations to prevent electrical hazards in the workplace.
REPORTING TO: Production Manager
Responsible for carrying out the duties listed below in a proficient, orderly manner all while maintaining a positive attitude and solid attendance record.
· Read, understand, and accurately follow drawings, prints, and other reference documentation.
· Able to follow written instructions and provide feedback as to how to improve those instructions.
· Identify good and bad solder connections on industry quality standards of IPC or equivalent.
· Effective and correct use of soldering iron and other general purpose hand tools used in PCB assembly.
· Position and align parts in specified arraignments in a jig, fixture, or other holding device.
· Solder and touch up through-hole components.
· Prepping and hand stuffing through-hole for wave solder.
· Post wave solder inspection/rework, hand soldering components, prepping cables/wires, soldering wires.
· Prepping PCBA’s for Conformal Coating spray.
· Rework of through-hole components, if needed.
· Soldering and rework of surface mount components on printed circuit boards if needed.
· Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition by performing daily organization and cleanup of work area.
· Perform other tasks as assigned within the qualifications and training received.
· High School Diploma or GED.
· Must possess good attention to detail and a high degree of precision in order to detect quality defects to prevent further recurrence.
· Must have knowledge and experience with soldering, preferably both Through-Hole and Surface Mount parts.
· Minimum one-year electronic soldering experience or successful completion of internal solder training
· IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification preferred.
· Basic knowledge or Windows-based computers, MS Word and Excel preferred.
· Sitting 90%, Standing/Walking 10%
· Manual dexterity and use hand tools.
· Ability to handle small parts.
· Prolonged use of magnification equipment to perform detailed tasks.
· Able to pass eye exams as required to meet the demands of the products built.
· Visual inspection of small parts.
· Occasional pushing wheeled cart of product weighing 30-40 pounds.
· Pay based on experience or certification.
· Environment is climate controlled, well-lit, quiet.
· No Holidays or Weekends.
· Flexible schedules.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
